Newtown Elementary School teachers Lydia Hallman, Miriam Bogdanova, Ellen Shackley, Amanda Lewis, Margaret Merritt, Wendy Lyle and Jordan Dosamontes donned their specially designed shirts bearing the message, “To Teach is to Love.” The shirt was designed by Jennifer Blais, a third-grade teacher at Newtown. Bringing the Celtic spirit to Independence

Norma Wilson, an eighth-grade teacher at Independence Middle School, shared her Irish culture with her students on St. Patrick’s Day.
