Pembroke Meadows Elementary School held their annual “Turkey of the Year” food drive for the Bayside Lions Club. Students donated canned food items and put them in a teacher’s basket of their choice.

The teacher with the most items (this year’s winner was Sarah Branch) in their basket won the title of “Turkey of the Year.” The “Turkey of the Year” was then chased by chefs, the principal and assistant principal, during lunch periods on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The school donated a total of 37 wash baskets full of canned goods to the Bayside Lions Club.
