KMES spikes the competition

Kempsville Meadows Elementary School won the Virginia Beach Elementary Schools (VBES) Staff Volleyball Championship.

Team members Bobby Howell, Ronnie Ferebee II, Nina Chadwick, Brock Thompson, Karen Slagle, Ashley Wahaba, Gina Kinert, Christina Harrell, and Bianca Keipe are the Virginia Beach Elementary School Volleyball League champions.

Each year, elementary school employees across Virginia Beach organize and represent their schools in their own fun and competitive volleyball league from January to March.

The school that finishes fourth place in the playoffs agrees to run the league the following year. This year the VBES Volleyball league had 16 schools across the city participate.
