Congratulations to Kemps Landing Magnet School English teacher Lisa Kilczewski, who has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks Workshop position this summer.
Kilczewski will receive a stipend to study Emily Dickinson’s poetry in Amherst, Mass., at the Emily Dickinson museum and at Amherst college. Out of 260 national applicants, 80 K-12 teachers were selected.
“I am proud to represent Kemps Landing and Virginia Beach and get to study this American poet with some of the finest scholars in the country, ” Kilczewski said.
