Linkhorn Park Assistant Principal Lorena Kelly was part of the Virginia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) Institute for Educators conference panel last month. The panel was titled, “Teaching, Learning and Poverty: Meeting the Needs of a New Demographic.”
The panel was moderated by Billy Cannaday, president of the Virginia Board of Education, and Kelly was joined on stage by Scott Kizner, superintendent of Harrisonburg City Public Schools; Mark Lineburg, superintendent of Winchester City Public Schools; and Marcus Newsome, superintendent of Chesterfield County Public Schools.
