Dr. Paula Johnson, principal of Bayside Middle School, was recently honored by the Virginia Board of Education for being named the 2013 Outstanding Secondary School Assistant Principal of the Year by the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals (VASSP).

Johnson earned her award as assistant principal at Landstown High School where she was cited for her work in collaborative leadership and professional learning communities, her dedication to college readiness and her personification of personalization.
