Linda Hayes, principal of Pembroke Elementary, serves on the state board for the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals.

Each year, Virginia Beach will send representatives to the General Assembly to provide input to educational bills that are being proposed.

Hayes was able to meet with Gov. Bob McDonnell to provide feedback to some of the bills on his agenda.
