There are two easy ways you can support your school division in the next 30 days. Through the Virginia Beach Education Foundation (VBEF), two events will raise money for grants given to VBCPS teachers for innovative projects;
- Jan. 30 Eat at Jake’s Smokehouse BBQ restaurant and 15% of your receipt will be donated to VBEF (from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.)
- Feb. 15 Buy your Red Level seating ticket (use code: VBEF14) for this 7:15 p.m. Norfolk Admiral’s Hockey game and $2 will go to VBEF. As a bonus, all Red Level seats are reduced to only $11 for anyone using the code VBEF14!
Look for future information about the VBEF’s annual Pearls of Wisdom Party scheduled for April 5 from 2-6 p.m. at 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Another fun event where more than $25,000 was raised in 2013 for this school year’s grants. Tickets to the all-you-can-eat oyster roast and barbeque are only $30 for VBCPS employees through March 5!
