Farrell Hanzaker, chief financial officer (CFO) for Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS), has earned the prestigious 2014 Virginia Business CFO Award. Each year, the magazine honors the top CFOs across the state whose ingenuity and dedication have contributed to their entities’ financial success. The award is given to one person in five different categories. Hanzaker took home his award in the large, nonprofit category.
