The Virginia Beach School Board re-elected Daniel D. “Dan” Edwards as chairman and elected Beverly M. Anderson as the new vice chairwoman at its first meeting of 2015.

Edwards was first elected to the School Board as the representative for the Centerville District in 1998. Now in his fifth term, Edwards was elected in November 2012 to represent the Kempsville District. He has served as board chairman since 1999.

Anderson was elected to the School Board At-Large seat in November 2012. This is her first time serving as vice chair.
