Centerville staff members support recent FARA Fest race

Frederich’s Ataxia (FA) is a degenerative musculoskeletal-skeletal disorder that is passed down genetically and affects about 1 in 50,000 people. A fundraiser called FARA Fest, which includes a 5k race and many other activities, was set up to raise money and awareness for FA.

Many Centerville faculty and staff signed up to run in the race and volunteer, all in support of a current CES student diagnosed with FA. All proceeds from FARA Fest will benefit the Frederich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) with the goal of finding a cure.
