Here’s a new way to get new SOL information and tips sent right to your email

The Virginia Department of Education’s TeacherDirect (located at  http://www.doe.virginia.gov/testing/teacher_direct/index.shtml) now offers a subscription option. By providing your email address, you can begin receiving weekly updates with information on SOL resources and other information. Each update will contain approximately 10 items that are new, have approaching deadlines or are of high interest to teachers.

You can set up more than one email address to receive weekly updates on your school division, home or mobile accounts.

The online subscription form is available at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/testing/teacher_direct/sign_up/index.shtml.

In addition, VDOE will continue to communicate information to schools and school divisions through traditional means, including weekly Superintendent’s Memos posted on the VDOE website and emailed to division superintendents for distribution to appropriate staff.
