This January, VB Schools will be launching its own honor society to highlight the extraordinary work of the men, women and students of this district. Each week, the division will initiate a member into the Compass Keeper Club, an organization whose sole requirement for membership is to demonstrate outstanding work or service within Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

And just how are members selected?

You.

Nominate your student who has spearheaded a service campaign in her neighborhood. Tell us about your co-worker who has spent his off block helping assist SOL preparations in the building. Email us about the custodian in your school who goes the extra mile to keep the building warm and welcoming. Your nominations will be taken, and then each week the newest initiate of the Compass Keeper Club will be featured on The Core, VBCPS’ latest news blog, which will be housed on vbschools.com
