VBCPS is proud to announce the 2017 Citywide Teacher of the Year finalists, who were selected from all of our individual schools’ teachers of the year :

Jenna Free, English/Family and Consumer Science Teacher, Tallwood High School
Melissa Smith, kindergarten-five reading specialist, Parkway Elementary School
Adrian Hayes, Grades 7/8 English Teacher, Kemps Landing Old Donation School
Adrienne Kravchak, Gifted Resource Teacher, White Oaks Elementary School
Suzanne Buhner, Grade 5 Teacher, John B. Dey Elementary School

The Teacher of the Year selection committee will be interviewing each of the finalists during the next few weeks. Once their selection is made, Dr. Aaron Spence and members of the committee will make the announcement with a surprise visit to our 2017 Citywide Teacher of the Year’s classroom.
