Don’t miss out on one of the Virginia Beach Education Foundation’s (VBEF) biggest fundraisers, the Pearls of Wisdom Oyster Roast and Barbecue, Saturday, April 16, 1-5 p.m. at 24th Street Park at the oceanfront. Discounted adult tickets of $40 are available through March 16, and the price increases to $50 March 17. Tickets for children (ages 6-12) are $15.
Each ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet of raw and roasted oysters, pork BBQ, fried fish and chicken, Hatteras-style clam chowder and beverages. There will also be free entertainment by Wonderland and a live auction.
Proceeds from ticket sales help fund innovative and schoolwide grant projects in the school division. This school year, VBEF awarded $110,000 to deserving teachers and schools.
