The Ninth Annual Meet & Greet event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25, from 4:30 – 6 p.m. at Green Run High School. The event is open to eligible voluntary and priority teacher transfers and eligible classified employees. Employees on annual and temporary contracts are not eligible to attend.

Eligible voluntary transfers are on a continuing contract status for the 2016-2017 school year; are not on a performance improvement plan and are not eligible for another voluntary transfer for a period of three full years.

Eligible classified employees, including school-based clerical personnel and teacher assistants must be identified as a priority transfer; must have worked a minimum of 90 days in their initial employment assignments and may accept one voluntary transfer per school year.

Those attending should wear their Virginia Beach City Public Schools ID badge; register online using My Learning Plan from Feb. 11 – 19 and complete an online transfer application. Applicants are encouraged to bring copies of resumes to distribute to administrators. As this will be a meet and greet format, interviews will not be held at the event.
