Not too many people would risk their sense of smell just to raise a couple extra dollars, but Thalia Elementary School’s Principal Pam Pastros has shown she is dedicated to the United Way drive in her building.
Students at Thalia voted for Pastros and assistant principal Andrea May to “Snuggle a Skunk” as part of their United Way Campaign.
In addition, students in fourth grade class collected the most money to “Make Their Teacher Disappear” for the United Way Campaign. Pastros, dressed up as the book charachter Miss Viola Swamp, from the book “Miss Nelson Is Missing,” entered the classroom and took the teacher away.
Way to take one (or a two) for the team!
