French receives 2012 Educational Technology Leadership Award

Tallwood Elementary School Principal David French has been named the 2012 Educational Technology Leadership Award winner for Region II.

The award recognizes outstanding leadership in assisting school divisions to effectively use and integrate educational technologies in teaching and learning.

Lan Neugent, assistant superintendent of Technology and Career & Adult Education for the Virginia Department of Education, presents Tallwood Elementary School Principal David French the Educational Technology Leadership Award at the 2012 Educational Technology Leadership Conference

Nominated by the Virginia Beach Department of Technology, French has embraced the role of technology in his school. He analyzed data to drive instructional content through the latest and most appropriate technology driven opportunities, including the use of Promethean boards, iPad applications, document camera tools, Everyday Math On-Line and Active Expression student response systems.
