Three of Virginia Beach’s schools are earning accolades for their sustainable designs and construction.
Both Great Neck Middle School and College Park Elementary School earned Honor Awards in the Sustainable Development category for the 2012 Virginia Beach Planning Commission Design Awards. Earlier this year, College Park also earned a Special Recognition Award from the Planning Commission.

In addition, the Renaissance Academy earned an Award of Excellence for the Best Sustainable Building by the 16th annual Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate’s (HRACRE) Excellence in Development Design Awards.
