Elementary schools cannot have players on any high school football team, but that did not stop the staff at Fairfield Elementary from adopting a team of its own. The staff at Fairfield Elementary collected money to donate to the Ocean Lakes High School football team to help defray the cost of state championship rings for the team members.

The gesture was in honor of their principal, Doug Knapp, who was surprised with the final check at a staff gathering. His son, Noah, played center for the state championship team.
