The Green Schools National Network announced this week a partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS), designating the district as a local partner for the upcoming Green Schools National Conference. The fifth annual conference will be held March 4-7, 2015, right here in Virginia Beach.
The school division was selected to partner with the Green Schools National Network given its dedication to and successes seen in sustainability work.

“This school district is a role model for other schools, demonstrating that
sustainable practices benefit school operations, student achievement, and more,”
Jenny Seydel, executive director of the Green Schools National Network, said in an event press release. “We’re eager to showcase their accomplishments during our conference, and look forward to sharing Virginia Beach’s best practices with conferees who want
to green their own schools.”
