In lieu of a holiday luncheon, staff held a winter luncheon earlier this year. The special lunch was provided by principal Beth Bianchi and assistant principal Valerie Cason-Williamston and it was prepared by cafeteria manager Debbie Cathey. To further celebrate the event, Bianchi invited two special guests to join the John B. Dey staff: Former Trantwood Elementary School principal Dr. Patsy Slaughter and former John B. Dey principal Lee Capwell.
