Linda Lavender, Computer Network Administration instructor at the Advanced Technology Center, was named the Virginia Chapter Association of Career and Technical Education’s Teacher of the Year for Community Service. She was recognized for her volunteer activities including the creation, design and support of the ATC’s Parent Technology Academy, developing green and sustainable practices and incorporating them with volunteer activities and students and her long-time support of volunteerism with the Food Bank of South Eastern Virginia.  She was recently recognized for her efforts at the South East conference of ACTE in Tennessee.
