The Virginia Beach Education Foundation (VBEF) invites VBCPS employees to submit their original artwork to support the foundation in two ways – the “Taste of Art” Silent Auction and the 2016 Commemorative Print contest.

The silent auction will be held during the VBEF’s annual TGIF Celebration (Teacher Grants Improve Futures) Nov. 10 at the Sandler Center. Participants receive 50 percent of the purchase price at auction and the remaining portion of the purchase price is donated to the VBEF to support teacher grants. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m., Oct. 30.

Employees may also submit their original artwork to be considered for the VBEF’s 2016 Commemorative Print. Artists must submit a high resolution image (300 dpi or greater) of their two-dimensional artwork by 5 p.m., Oct. 16, and an online vote will determine the selection. The winning artist will be announced at the TGIF Celebration. To view commemorative prints from previous years, visit www.vbef.org.
