It’s Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week

As so declared by the governor of Virginia, Jan. 20-26 is Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week, an opportunity “to recognize the hard work of Virginia school principals and to recognize the importance of principals in ensuring that every child has access to a quality education.”

Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence remarked that, “A principal’s leadership stays with their students for years to come.” To illustrate and honor that effect, he and a number of VBCPS division leaders, who also happen to be fellow VBCPS graduates, shared their thanks and described the impact their principals had on their own lives.
