Joy Ambassadors and the Office of Professional Growth and Innovation invite all staff members to attend the school division’s Joy Fair, Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Operational Smile headquarters at 3641 Faculty Blvd. in Virginia Beach.
Similar to last year’s event, attendees are invited to enjoy the fun the entire time or just drop by for a few minutes.
“All visitors will get a taste of #VBHasJoy by visiting stations where Joy Ambassadors will spotlight some ways they intentionally spread joy in their school and classroom culture,” according to Akilah Ellison, professional learning specialist, who launched the divisionwide joy movement two years ago, “Everyone will leave with an idea that you can implement in your classroom, school or workplace culture the next day,” she added.
Some of this year’s stations are called “Mindful Classroom,” “FlipGrid,” “Joyful Connections,” “Attitude of Gratitude,” “Kindness Rocks,” “Sketching Your Joy” and “Educator Self Care.”
