Kasi Daniel, a biology teacher at Landstown High School, has received the 2017 Virginia Outstanding Biology Teacher Award. The honor also means she will receive the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) Outstanding Biology Teacher Award for Virginia.
According to the NABT, nominees for the award must have must have at least three years of public, private, or parochial school teaching experience and devoted a major portion of their career teaching of biology/life science. They are judged on their teaching ability and experience, cooperativeness in the school and community, and student-teacher relationships.
Daniel will be a special guest at the annual Virginia Association of Science Teachers Awards Ceremony in November where she will receive a plaque for herself and Landstown. She also will be recognized at the NABT National Convention and will receive gift certificates from Carolina Biological Supply Company, resources from other sponsors, award certificates and a complimentary one-year membership from NABT.Tell your friends!
