This year,\u00a0more than $200,000\u00a0in grants will be distributed to support learning programs across the division.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are so grateful for the generous amount of support the education foundation receives,&#8221; said Debbie Griffey, coordinator of the VBEF. &#8220;The foundation&#8217;s commitment to public education supports hands-on learning experiences for students throughout the division. And now, we are making it even easier to donate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tax-free donations to VBEF can be managed through WISE Employee Self-Service by logging in to your account, accessing the menu on the upper left corner of the page, scrolling down to the \u201cdeductions and taxes\u201d tab and then navigating to \u201coptional deductions.\u201d You will then land on the \u201cOptional Deduction Authorization Form\u201d where you can enter the amount you wish to give to VBEF.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Capture2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9193 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Capture2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"486\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>VBEF raises funds through the sale of annual commemorative prints, The House Students Built project and annual events like Pearls of Wisdom and the foundation\u2019s golf tournament.
