That\u2019s the day when bus schedules for the 2017-2018 will be posted on the school division\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/busroute.vbcps.com\/eduweb\/webquery\/\">WebQuery page<\/a>. By simply entering your home address and child\u2019s grade level on this page, you will be provided the appropriate bus schedule information.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6904\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2592\" height=\"1728\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1.jpg 2592w, http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Picture-1-1-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2592px) 100vw, 2592px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bus transportation is provided to all elementary students living in excess of 1 mile from school and for all secondary students living in excess of one-and-a-half miles from school. Regardless of distance, transportation is also provided if there is no safe walking route.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to checking bus schedules, be sure to review important safety tips with your child, which are listed on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbschools.com\/transportation\/\">Transportation Services home page<\/a> on the school division\u2019s website, vbschools.com. These tips offer safety information, such as where children should safely stand while waiting for a bus or blind spots to avoid around buses, known as \u201cDanger Zones.\u201d Other safety advice includes how much time in advance to arrive at a bus stop, which is five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The Transportation web page also links to rules passengers should follow to make the ride home an enjoyable and safe experience, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbschools.com\/transportation\/faq.asp\">frequently asked questions (FAQs).<\/a> Answers to FAQs can be helpful since they contain phone numbers to call or actions to take in a diverse number of situations.<\/p>\n<p>The entire Transportation team looks forward to seeing all bus riders on the first day of school, Sept. 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your child resides in a zone earmarked for school bus transportation, be sure to check the school division\u2019s website Aug. 22.
