As part of this calendar, there are also two and a half days of professional learning embedded for teachers and staff.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/2-16-2016-2-26-13-PM.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4773\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4773\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/2-16-2016-2-26-13-PM.png\" alt=\"2-16-2016 2-26-13 PM\" width=\"739\" height=\"961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/2-16-2016-2-26-13-PM.png 739w, http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/2-16-2016-2-26-13-PM-231x300.png 231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 739px) 100vw, 739px\" \/><\/a>With the adoption of this school calendar, Virginia Beach City Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence set the makeup calendar (in case of inclement weather). The first through fourth inclement weather days requiring school cancellation will be made up using the following staff days and holidays:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30, Staff Day<\/li>\n<li>20, Presidents\u2019 Day<\/li>\n<li>March 8, Professional Learning Day<\/li>\n<li>April 7, Staff Day would be extended to a full day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Make up time for the fifth missed day and beyond would add minutes to the school day or add days at the end of the school year.
