Congressman Scott Rigell announced the winners at a ceremony at the Art Institute of Virginia Beach last week. She is also invited to an award ceremony in Washington, D.C., in June to see her work on display.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth place went to Sarah McCrimmon, a sophomore at Princess Anne High School for her piece, \u201cThe Only Way Out is Through.\u201d Her artwork will hang in one of the Congressman\u2019s district offices for the next year.<\/p>\n<p>Honorable mentions were given to the following students for their outstanding submissions in the competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Courtney Roark, senior, Cox High School, Virginia Beach, \u201cOracle\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Breana Lewis, junior, Cox High School, Virginia Beach, \u201cSpring Vibrance\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Joanyelee Padilla, senior, Princess Anne High School, Virginia Beach, \u201cThe Clothing Makes the (Wo)man\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Congressional Art Competition began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for Members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents.
