A number of Virginia Beach schools took to the shore during the annual Neptune Festival to participate in the sand sculpting competition. Check out some of the great projects created by the school division’s students as well as just a few of this year’s participants.<\/p>\n

Point O’View Elementary School represented their school in their sand sculpture at the annual Neptune Festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Corporate<\/a>
Corporate Landing Middle School had three teams and more than 60 students participate in this year’s sand sculpting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Thalia<\/a>
Thalia Elementary students could not have pulled off their first place win in the Neptune Festival Sand Sculpting competition without the support and guidance of their SCA sponsors Heather Piccoli and Rick Williams.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Plaza<\/a>
Plaza Middle School students competed in the sand sculpting competition at the Neptune Festival. This year\u2019s theme was \u201cThe Works of Dr. Seuss.\u201d Here, Plaza students Paul Sartwell, Mason Zahn and Mason Spruill are creating \u201cGrinch Mountain.\u201d Plaza had more than 20 students plan and organize this year\u2019s sculpture.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
