{"id":1790,"date":"2014-04-11T20:28:09","date_gmt":"2014-04-11T20:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/?p=1790"},"modified":"2014-04-14T16:55:25","modified_gmt":"2014-04-14T16:55:25","slug":"red-mill-elementarys-peep-oramas-steal-the-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/red-mill-elementarys-peep-oramas-steal-the-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Mill Elementary&#8217;s peep-oramas steal the show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First-grade students at Red Mill Elementary School had a \u201cpeep-tastic\u201d time creating beautiful \u201cpeep-oramas\u201d inspired by the book, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Absolutely Not<\/span>, by Matthew McElligott. \u00a0The students had been learning about the parts a book: character, setting, and plot. Working in small groups they illustrated their favorite parts of the story, inside a shoebox diorama. For a special touch, \u201cpeeps\u201d became the main characters from the story, Gloria and Frieda. Surprisingly, all peeps involved survived the activity without being eaten.
