Representatives from General Mills, Simon Eng and Rod Hesson, visited Kempsville Middle School to present a check for $2,000.\u00a0 The school won the General Mills box top contest by partnering with Oceana Naval Commissary to decorate the collection bin and assist with box tops collections.<\/p>\n

“This was an incredible opportunity for students, staff, and community to work together for the benefit of the school,” said principal Patti Jenkins. “A $2,000 check is going to go a long way in garnering valuable resources for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n

And, that’s not all. Eng also stopped by Hermitage and Woodstock Elementary schools to drop off a check for 20,000 box tops, which, again, translates to $2,000 for each school.<\/p>\n
