Some weavings become warm blankets, others beautiful rugs. To participate,\u00a0students were\u00a0encouraged to\u00a0pick up\u00a0one strip of paper and draw, color, paint, etc. on it to represent who\u00a0they are. Students then intertwined the pieces them with those from other students to create murals.<\/p>\n<p>The murals are currently on display in the main hallway of Virginia Beach Middle School.<\/p>\n<p>The weaving not only made a beautiful final project, it also had a purpose. Just as single strands of thread are not as strong as when they are combined, so is true of working together.
