All the athletes earned ribbons.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Student athletes and their peer buddies filled the Tallwood High School stadium for the annual event May 8. Participants also danced, blew bubbles, and took plenty of water breaks. The Windsor Woods Elementary students were part of the more than 300 students who participated in this year&#8217;s Little Feet Meet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The pair attend Windsor Woods Elementary, where Cameron visits Kenley\u2019s fourth grade classroom most mornings. Kenley said being a peer buddy since second grade has made her a responsible student.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI make good decisions and I like to help others,\u201d she said. \u201cIt makes me feel happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tallwood High seniors Zionte Corprew and Trinity Silmon served as volunteers. They high-fived the athletes as they crossed the finish line after running 50 meters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a great thing to help these kids,\u201d Trinity said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing these kids have fun is what it\u2019s all about,\u201d Zionte added.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke Dorsey, a Three Oaks Elementary fourth grader, coached her buddy Zoey Nava as she focused on the long jump. \u201cYou can do it!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke said the pair practiced every Wednesday at school, and they always say hi when they see each other in the hallway.<\/p>\n<p>Three Oaks Elementary special education teacher Meghan Jackson said the event shows students how they can achieve their goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday they have the chance to showcase what they have worked for all year,\u201d she said.
