With the holidays approaching, everyone is busy picking out just the right holiday card to send to friends and family.

Delegate Glenn Davis is no exception.

To help him with his card selection, Davis asked art teachers and their classes at Rosemont Forest Elementary, Kempsville Meadows Elementary and Princess Anne Middle to submit designs for his consideration.

“This is my second year asking elementary and middle school art students to submit designs for my holiday greeting card, and once again, the number of submissions were more than I could have hoped for,” Davis wrote in his email message. “Choosing a winner was tough.  In the end, I decided on two designs to use this year.”

Those winners were Rosemont Forest Elementary’s Avery Emerson and Kempsville Meadows Elementary’s Phaedra Diacopoulos. Here is Emerson’s design:
